Mari Mészáros (Hungary) received an education at the Faculty of Free Arts at the University Budapest and the Art Academy of Budapest, with a specialization in glass. Shelivesandworkssince 1982 in the Netherlands.She works from a fascination for the survival of man made objects through time.These objects are witnesses of a time gone by and tell their histories. Mészáros works with glass because this visualizes the paradox of survival through time. Objects become increasingly vulnerable, while people care for them more and more. With all these concepts in the back of her mindMészáros works on her glass sculptures as a connection between the past, the present and the future.
